Our Team
Jared j. smith
Co-Founder/Executive Producer
With nearly two decades of experience working in the film, video, and audio worlds, Jared has produced, edited, and directed hundreds of projects throughout his career. Jared and Öykü met at MTV Networks in 2009 and worked on many projects together before they decided to become life partners and establish Luciola Creative. Jared is a graduate of Ithaca College.
Öykü Çakar-Smith
Co-Founder/Creative Director
Öykü got her Master's degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and also holds a Bachelor's degree in interior architecture from Bilkent University. A producer and editor, she worked at many production companies as well as agencies across NYC including PeopleTV, Viacom, TVLand, Wine Spectator, and many more. Öykü and Jared met during their years at Viacom while sharing an office and founded Luciola Creative in 2014.
